<p>On the first Saturday of the month Home Depot offers a fun FREE Kid Workshop.</p>
<p>On September 4th  they will be making a <strong>Wooden Football Display!</strong></p>
<p>Their site says  &#8221;The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment.  Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.&#8221;</p>
<p>Each child also receives a kid-sized orange apron just like the employees wear and some sort of recognition item, like a certificate or a pin. Plus they get to take home their creation!  This is while supplies last.</p>

<p>We want to share with you an awesome way to educate your children about other cultures!  We have participated for several years, and are SO pleased with the program.</p>
<p>Here is some information about Ten Thousand Villages:<br />
&#8220;Our mission is to provide vital income to disadvantaged artisans and their families in impoverished areas of the world by marketing their handicrafts, telling their stories, and promoting economic justice through fair trade.&#8221;</p>
<p>At each session, children will learn about the daily life of kids around the world, listen to folk tales, and make a craft traditional to these countries.&#8221;</p>
